Terms of Service

1. The service

SCRShare provides tools for uploading, storing for a limited period, delivering, viewing, downloading, and managing screenshots and related images. Some features are available without an account; others may require email-based sign-in. Delivery links may be served from SCRShare-controlled or approved delivery domains.

2. Your responsibility

You are responsible for the images and information you upload, the links you share, and the consequences of making those links available to others. You must have the rights and lawful authority necessary to upload and share the content.

3. Prohibited use

You may not use SCRShare to create, upload, host, distribute, facilitate, or promote content or activity involving:

• phishing, impersonation, fraud, scams, deceptive payment requests, credential theft, malicious QR codes, or social-engineering attacks;
• spam, unsolicited bulk promotion, automated abuse, traffic manipulation, or attempts to evade service limits;
• malware, malicious scripts, exploit delivery, unauthorized access, credential harvesting, or instructions primarily intended to compromise systems;
• sexual exploitation, non-consensual intimate imagery, sexual content involving minors, or other unlawful sexual or adult content;
• harassment, stalking, credible threats, doxxing, or publication of private personal information without lawful basis;
• content that infringes copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other legal rights;
• illegal goods, services, activity, or content that violates applicable law;
• use of SCRShare as an unauthorized bulk CDN, permanent file archive, or infrastructure for high-volume automated hotlinking outside the intended screenshot-sharing service.

4. Moderation and enforcement

SCRShare may use automated and manual controls to validate uploads, detect abuse, rate-limit traffic, quarantine content, disable links, remove files, restrict access, preserve evidence where legally required, and respond to lawful requests. We are not required to publish or continue hosting any upload.

5. Public-link nature of screenshots

Screenshot links are designed for sharing. A person who has the exact URL may be able to access the screenshot while it is active. Do not use SCRShare as a vault for secrets or highly confidential material. Search-engine exclusion directives may be applied, but they are not a guarantee that third parties will never cache, copy, record, or redistribute content.

6. Accounts

If you use optional account features, you must provide an email address you are authorized to use and protect access to that mailbox. You may not use another person’s account or bypass account, security, or rate-limit controls.

7. Retention and deletion

Files may expire automatically according to service policy. We may remove content earlier for security, moderation, technical, legal, storage, or operational reasons. SCRShare is not responsible for maintaining permanent copies of uploaded files. Keep your own original files.

8. Intellectual property

You retain ownership of rights you hold in your uploaded content. You grant SCRShare a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, reproduce, resize, create technical previews of, transmit, display, and deliver that content solely as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, moderate, troubleshoot, and improve the service and to comply with law.

9. Advertising and third-party services

SCRShare pages may display advertising or use infrastructure and security providers. Third-party services may have their own terms and privacy practices. SCRShare is not responsible for third-party sites reached through advertisements or user-provided content.

10. Availability and changes

The service may change, experience downtime, or be suspended for maintenance, security, legal, or operational reasons. We may introduce, remove, or modify features, limits, delivery domains, retention periods, or service policies.

11. Disclaimers

SCRShare is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, permanent storage, error-free operation, or that every abusive upload will be detected before it is viewed.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, SCRShare and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, loss of data, lost profits, lost business, or harm caused by third-party user content or external services.

13. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use of SCRShare, your uploaded content, or your violation of another person’s rights.

14. Legal requests and abuse

SCRShare may preserve or disclose information where reasonably necessary to comply with valid legal process, enforce these Terms, investigate fraud or abuse, protect users, or protect the service and its operators.

15. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms as the service evolves. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when material changes are published. Continued use after an update constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
