SCRShare SupportFrequently Asked Questions
Quick answers about uploading, sharing, privacy, accounts, deletion, and abuse reporting.
Using SCRShare
How do I share a screenshot?
Open SCRShare.com, paste an image from your clipboard, drag and drop it, or choose an image file. After the upload passes security checks, SCRShare creates a short sharing link on an approved delivery domain such as scrsh.cc.
Do I need an account?
No. Anonymous uploads are the default. Signing in is optional and is intended for users who want access to their screenshot history and account features.
Which image formats are supported?
SCRShare currently accepts PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, and GIF images, subject to the file-size and image-dimension limits shown on the upload page.
Can I use SCRShare on a phone?
Yes. The interface is responsive for iPhone, Android, tablets, and desktop browsers. On mobile, choose a screenshot from Photos or Files using the upload control.
Links, privacy & deletion
Are screenshot links public?
Anyone who receives or discovers the exact screenshot URL may be able to view the image while it remains active. Do not upload passwords, recovery phrases, financial credentials, private identity documents, confidential business information, or anything you are not comfortable sharing by link.
Are screenshot pages indexed by search engines?
SCRShare delivery pages are configured with noindex, nofollow, and noarchive directives. Search engines and third-party services ultimately control their own behavior, so these directives are not a guarantee of invisibility.
How long are screenshots kept?
Retention can vary by upload type, account status, moderation status, storage policy, and service configuration. Anonymous screenshots may expire automatically. SCRShare is a sharing utility, not permanent archival storage.
How do I remove a screenshot?
If deletion controls were issued with your upload or are available in your signed-in account, use them. If you no longer have access, use the report/help process and provide the screenshot URL together with a clear removal reason.
Safety & acceptable use
What content is prohibited?
SCRShare prohibits scams, phishing, spam, malware, sexual or adult content, exploitation, unlawful material, impersonation, harassment, credible threats, malicious QR codes or links, copyright infringement, and other abusive or illegal use described in our Terms of Service.
What happens to suspicious uploads?
Security and moderation systems may block an upload, place it in quarantine, limit distribution, or remove it. Repeat abuse can result in rate limits or access restrictions.
How do I report a screenshot?
Use the “Report this screenshot” form on the screenshot page. Choose the closest reason and include useful context. Reports may result in review, quarantine, or removal.
Does SCRShare guarantee that uploaded content is safe?
No automated or manual system can guarantee that every piece of user-generated content is safe. Treat unknown links cautiously and report suspicious material.
Accounts & technical questions
How does optional sign-in work?
SCRShare uses an email-based sign-in flow rather than requiring a conventional password for ordinary user accounts. Sign-in links are intended to be time-limited and single-use.
Why does SCRShare use a separate screenshot domain?
The main service runs on SCRShare.com while screenshot delivery can use a separate approved domain. This separates the core application from user-generated screenshot URLs and supports a safer, more scalable delivery architecture.
Why can an upload fail?
Common causes include unsupported image types, file-size limits, rate limits, security verification failure, moderation rules, temporary network problems, or storage-service issues. Try again with a supported image and, if the problem persists, use the Help page.
